March 2003 - present

·         As part of the cutover team for a large multi-national oil company, I developed the project plan for the 4.6C upgrade utilizing CBU.  Additional responsibilities included working with the functional teams to determine whether ICNV was a requirement and/or necessary and working with the basis team to ensure that their detail execution instructions are kept up-to-date through out the various mock upgrades and that any lessons learned are captured, documented, and added to the plan.  In addition, I am responsible for the execution of the upgrade plan.

September 2002

·         Worked with a consulting firm in Portland, Ore. to create a proposal for a large utility company utilizing RBE and additional upgrade tools.  A new tool was developed which searches the customer’s Z programs for tables that have changed in the upgrade,  thus highlighting potential problems and help prioritize testing efforts.

Senior SAP Specialist  December 2000 to May 2002

·         As the SAP Upgrade Solution leader, I developed/refined divine’s upgrade methodology by supplementing SAP’s ASAP methodology with divine’s tools and experience.  Actively participated in the sales cycle for SAP upgrades:  created sales presentations and project proposals, determined the strategy, estimated the timelines and resources and presented the proposals to the customer.

·         Developed divine’s Upgrade tools which find and categorize SAP custom objects.  The results of divine’s tools are cross-referenced with SAP’s Reverse Business Engineer (RBE).

·         Performed numerous technical Upgrade Assessments, utilizing RBE, divine tools, and the ASAP methodology.  The basis, ABAP, and interface areas were reviewed for operational and upgrade issues.  Reviewed the results of the functional team interviews and created the upgrade proposal.

·         Managed, the operating system and database migration of a SAP system from HP/UX and Informix to Windows 2000 and SQLServer for a multi-national plumbing manufacturer.  Responsibilities included producing and tracking budgetary numbers, coordinating sizing exercises and hardware configurations.  Created, maintained, and monitored the master project plan, including customer responsible subprojects (backup solution and validation testing) throughout the project lifecycle.

Director, ERP System Support January 2000 to November 2000

·         Founded and supervised a 15-person team responsible for providing SAP Basis, i2 Basis, and Manugistics Basis support for assorted customers.  Implemented all support processes, such as trouble tickets, after-hour support, critical outage notifications, etc.

·         Worked with co-workers to develop “follow the sun” support for Basis.  This project entailed creating processes so that support groups in Europe, Far East, and the US could provide support during their work hours regardless of the geographic location of the customer or the hardware.

·         Supervised the creation of intranet web-site containing information needed to support to facilitate “follow the sun” support.

·         Technical project manager for a North American rollout of SAP.  Responsible for providing SAP Basis support and the installation of all hardware, including non-SAP hardware (Mercator, Mercator 4EC, Manugistics, TIB).  Coordinated the kernel installation (SAP configuration) with European colleagues.

·         Managed the SAP and i2 technical support for the implementation of a multi-national semi-conductor company.

·         Responsible for pre/post sales support for Basis and Infrastructure service offerings, performing assessments in order to accurately gauge hardware and staffing resource requirements.  Negotiated contracts for new customers, responsible for contract modifications for existing customers.

·         Created and maintained Origins ERP Managed Services descriptions, Service Level Agreements, and Master Services Contracts for Origin’s outsourcing and implementation customers.  Responsible for preparing responses to RFP’s.

Lead SAP Basis Consultant October 1997 to January 2000

·         Key member of sales team, responsible for presenting the Basis service offerings, performing assessments in order to accurately gauge resource requirements, and created the Service Level Agreements.

·         Worked on (1) implementation, and managed a SAP upgrade and a data center move.

Team Leader, SAP Basis Support June 1996 to October 1997

·         Founded and supervised a 10-person team responsible for the basis support for the Star Enterprise SAP environment.  The responsibilities of this team included hardware, operating system, database, SAP basis, and ABAP Q&A.  In addition, I planned, managed, and performed a SAP upgrade during my tenure.

·         Responsible for the technical project management of the SAP R/3 implementation.  At the time of implementation, this SAP project was the first downstream IS/OIL implementation in America and one of the largest projects attempted on an NT platform.

·         Supervised a staff ranging from 10 - 15 people and administered an eight million-dollar budget.  Responsibilities of the Infrastructure team, included Operations, UNIX System Administration, and LAN Administration for an environment supporting over 4,000 users.

Team Leader, Payroll Support 1989-1991

·         Responsible for the IT support of the Star Enterprise Payroll system.  This payroll and HR system supported 10,000+ employees; running 3 pay cycles: salary, Union hourly, and retail hourly.  Implemented procedures to make the payruns a repeatable process that could be monitored by the operations staff.
